Stretch before and after you workout.

Our mechanic for this game was to have a character with an extendable limb that would allow him to swing from platform to platform or to be used as a whip against his enemies.

Initial pitches consisted of a cursed Demon or a Futuristic Ninja, but the one we really liked was my idea of Bulbs - foetus operated robots. One of those Bulbs, FM-15, would be testing a new whip technology, but soon comes to realise the true exploitation and slavery of Bulbs and that the existence of Bulbs is a crime against humanity in itself. This results in him deciding to use this technology to stop all production of Bulbs and to free his brothers from the evil corporation enslaving them.

Awesome, no? Of course its awesome. Who doesn't like foetuses in fishbowls equipped with energy whips...

...right guys?

Yeah. JJ walked out after that.

HOWEVER, after drawing some concepts, I came up with this design where Bulbs could unscrew their heads. That's when I realised we were doing it wrong. The concept of these Bulbs were too good to throw away at a simple running and swinging game. Adding the Whiplash Technology to it made it seem like 2 games smashed into one. It didn't make sense anymore. If we were to go on with Bulbs, I would much rather have us play with a head-screwing (heh) mechanic.

The concept we finally decided on was one based on our mascot, Hammie the Meatloaf. In this case, he's given long, goofy, stretchy arms. Its cartoony and fun and definitely a casual game.
